Reliable, safe communication is indispensable for daily work in Ex-areas. The Ex-GSM 01 is an ATEX certified mobile phone for use in Zones 2 and 22 and provides the necessary safety for your work. The robust housing satisfies all requirements in accordance with the protection rating IP54 and is especially well suited for tough environments.

The Ex-GSM 01 is a triband mobile phone and supports all GSM 900/1800/1900 networks across the globe. Additionally, the Ex-GSM 01 has an integrated push-to-talk functionality so that you can use your mobile phone as a radio unit*. Push-to-talk allows you to initiate direct voice communication with individuals or groups by simply pressing the PTT button.

The Ex-GSM 01 has numerous office functions such as an address book, calendar, task list, etc. – this turns your mobile phone into a mobile office. You can synchronise your mobile phone with MS Outlook (Version 2000 or higher) or Lotus Notes (Version 5.x or higher) using the PC suite included. The changeable covers are practical and make it possible to easily replace the housing should it break or become damaged, and by utilising the optional GPS and RFID shells the functionality of the mobile phone is expanded even further. For example, using the GPS shell for emergency location purposes.

** RFID allows you to read, add, write back, and send data by data transmission (via EDGE or GPRS) directly to a server – and all this in real-time.
